These people are OUR people..they are US....and yet we have over 5.1 Million Homeless in this country..OUR Country. this is just so wrong.....it is Our Greatest Shame....This video was made with Mandt of Agitdiaries,it was a collaboration....I have been collecting photos of Homeless for over 3 years, so some of these are from all over LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, Cleveland, NOLA and NY and DC....the Song is "Teardrop" written and sung by Liz Frazer and performed by Massive Attack...It is a sobering video about People in our own country...for me it was about taking photos of my neighbors when I lived in Downtown Cleveland.
( Still live in Downtown- about 2 miles from the heart of the Downtown area...but my old loft apt building got foreclosed....so I had to move in winter 2007)...But they are still my neighbors..
The Video was a collaboration with Mandt of Agitdiaries, it was a wonderful collaboration....the Photos are from all over, NY, SF, DC,LA, Portland, Seattle,NOLA and yes, Cleveland. The Song is called "TearDrop" by Massive Attack, written by Liz Frazer.

Please read the post over at Peace tree posted Sat. 8.9.08 that goes with this....and you will see WHY I made it and that it is dedicated to folks in Cleveland...
I guess also this weekend I am mad at Edwards..cuz he was actually getting folks to understand Poverty and HOW it happens and WHO it effects and now I am worried that even that mission will be tarnished....besmudged....
these folks need Strong Honest Caring Compassionate Advocates....it is critical..their lives depend on it...
So glad to have seen this. Thanks, Enigma, for mentioning it. Since I was on vacation, I would've missed it.
You are so right. The visual images are powerful. I'm especially troubled by the homeless veterans. And children.
