Friday Night Music: Sometimes you do need a Cat to feel better...

So I was in a rather wretched mood earlier today, see post below....okay I still might be. Here is some music that might help..and if you stick around tonight and watch Phelps Swim ...and hell, I might even save you some brownies ....Have a good night...

{BTW Tomcat has been on Hiatus for a while- so I set up a blog over on the Blogroll so you can leave him messeges....}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cat Stevens sings it best...."Wild World"....have you had enough of this Wild World?...You can click the Title to hear that...and
Then you better get on the "Peace Train" below.....
Can Someone, Anyone tell me why this Man is on the Terra Watchlist ? This is him in 1976 singing it LIVE...a song about Peace...and well....See I know all about Lists, and I have proudly been on the NO FLY LIST since 2004....( that is a story for another day)....BUT I know this song by heart...which is good...since I can still take the Train...The PeaceTrain....Anywhere....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Art this week- by Mack Sennett, great Silent Film movie-maker......

Okay so last night we saw the little girls do the gymnastics- and that is fine...and NOW tonight here we are and the first 40 minutes of NBC coverage is reliving last night....aren't there lots of OTHER sports they could be showing us ????

( and if they show Bela yelling and re-inacting the Events again my TV is going to meet a horrible fate....)

must go breathe deep...very deep...and burn candles..all I wanted to see was some swimming...( and hell- maybe some track ????is that asking too much ??)

All because Cat Stevens turned Muslim I guess. Oh, I think they trumped up some reason that he gave money to some organization that they had their eye on, but basically it's because he converted, I expect. Ridiculous.

I always liked his music. Thanks for posting this.

oh dear at 10:41 the Serbian Team has filed a Complaint regarding the race...with the Final Results...

D.K. Raed said...

The Serbs are pissed because their tennis star, Djokovic, lost to Rafael Nadal today. We caught the tale end of the match. WHY can't they list which events will be shown at what time & on what station ACCURATELY!?! BTW, Nadal was wearing a Saffron-colored headband. I thought China attempted to outlaw the color that symbolizes Free Tibet?

Now Cat Stevens, oh I had a HUGE crush on him back in the day! I was crushed when he gave up music for Islam (some kind of odd demand, I thought, to give up the thing you love most), but now lately he's gotten approval to sing again. The NoFlyList sucks when it messes with a peaceful guy like him.

DK:::
I still have a huge crush on him...so sad...thanks to the No Fly list- I will never meet him...

interesting about that match- I did not get to see.....yeah, NBC has made it just about Impossible to see things...

about the Serb Complaint- the Reff's said- NOPE - Phelps touched the wall first- period....

Daria Torres is next to swim...yeah an old mom swimming -

Woooohoooo Torres WON the Semi final.....wow...at 42..wow..

Wow, congratulations on making the list. It was when they stopped my grandmother in the airport and made her take off her shoes that I really started to gain confidence in our fair government. With this system, they should be able to find the "terrorists" easily...they'll be the ones who are never stopped by security, who never have to take off their shoes, and who can fly whereever the hell they want to.

LOVE the Cat forever. I recently discovered http://www.jango.com/users/16183587/edit?l=0 Jango and made a channel with him and few other favorites of mine like Paul Simon and Gordon Lightfoot. It's great, an easy way to listen to them and similar singers all day long from any computer. Oh, by the way, Cat's clearly a terrorist because he became a Muslim and changed his name to Yusuf Islam. Probably the name alone was enough to give him the spontaneous impulse to hijack an airplane!

Why thank you...I made the list awhile back and found out in 2005 that I could not fly..I was trying to fly to another state to get medical care ( heart thing) and voila....nope..so then I took the train and the train hit a cow....and yes, I did not get to take the train- so then I ended up driving 1000's of miles to get care...( but it was like this Hitchcock movie...one thing after another , I kept hearing that music in my head....from his show...)

Soooooo yes, I worked on an Investigation against a BIG Chem company- and pissed off alot of folks- even the EPA....cuz I confronted them with their own damn documents- I am writing a book about it..I will leave you a messege over on your blog- the book is in parts over on the BLogroll...

anyways....so absurd- yeah a Single Mom, a Nurse, a Buddhist- yeah...I am on a list...makes NO sense....( probally cuz I researched BAD things...)

Anyways...I Love Cat Stevens...walk around humming him all the time....but I will check out the other music hookup-cool...

Lovely to meet others that listen to good tunes ;-)

I saw Cat Stevens at the Oakland Coliseum back when I was in high school.

I loved his music then and I love it now.

He was so beautiful back then. He looked so passionate and hot playing the guitar and singing.

He hardly resembles the same person now. Oh well.

Enigma,

How many blogs do you operate?

I have one and I find running it an all-consuming task.

Does it come down to organization and time management?

enigma4ever said...

Chris::
ahhh Cat was indeed beautiful....( I don;t really know what he looks like now) but in my mind yes, he looks like this video- like he never got older...

How many blogs do I have...hmmm.....that is a good question...two are defunct- were temporary( Plamegate timeline, Nolacare), then there is this one and Enigma Cafe and Naked Sushi- those I blog pretty frequently, this one I blog almost daily....then there is an Obama Movement Blog- that one fizzled...but is still open...and then I just set the tomcat one up- but that is just messeges for tomcat until he gets back....and then there is the two for my book Silent Fallout...and then Sat morn I blog at Peace Tree ( but it is not my blog) and then on WEds I blog also at Sirens.....So there you have it......I have no idea how many that is? too many ? I think I have Blogititis....

( but Watergatesummer is the main one - and ENIGMA CAFE is where I go to escape politics- does that make sense...)

I think if I just keep writing...and documenting....this will all work out...right?

Christopher said...

Wow.

That's a lot.

I have occasionally pondered starting an arts/food/music/travel blog that is 100% non-political but I don't have the time.

Chris::
I think it shows I need a life ? Actually most of the OTHER blogs I started to take a break from Politics and this blog ;-)

( Hey , who knows a year from now Maybe we can all be blogging other stuff ?)
