Yes except I don't think it was all as 'ignorant' but intended as a provocation of Russia. Nato is about to fall apart or could very well be, and as most Europeans know by now or realize (actually, do not count out the Canadians)..Nato has become an US foreign policy arm and everybody else is expected to do its bidding. What else are the NATO forces in Afghanistan for? I do agree that Bush, in part is the dummy puppet..but there is a very calculated play going on here..

But I think Maureen raises some interesting questions...
( at this point I am just reading all the different perceptions on this mess.... and trying to make different pieces available- this is very much out of my league...)
Enigma, same here.. it's good to ask questions and open ended at that. Actually, when reading any article, it's always very interesting to read people's comments as some of them are very insightful and give pause/cause for thought..
