Chuck Norris is indeed the Biggest Right Wing Nut EVER......

( Snippet from Philly paper, click the title to read more.....)
That was fast. It was just one year ago that right-wing martial arts guru Chuck Norris was a sought-after "get" for the GOP presidential candidates like Mike Huckabee, who paraded the star of "Walker, Texas Ranger" around the nation after the anti-abortion actor endorsed him in the primaries.

But now it's 2009, Barack Obama is in the White House, and the inventor of chun kuk do is preaching the martial art of insurrection against the U.S. government. He also wants to run for -- and no, I'm not making this up -- "the president of Texas.":

The call by some right wing leaders for rebellion and for the military to refuse the commander in chief’s orders is joined by Chuck Norris who claims that thousands of right wing cell groups have organized and are ready for a second American Revolution. During an appearance on the Glen Beck radio show he promised that if things get any worse from his point of view he may “run for president of Texas.” The martial artist/actor/activist claims that Texas was never formally a part of the United States in the first place and that if rebellion is to come through secession Texas would lead the way.

Norris really comes close to crossing a line with this:
Norris claims that; “Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation.” The right wing cells will meet during a live telecast, "We Surround Them," on Friday March 13 at 5 p.m.
He closes with the words of Sam Houston followed by a plug for his next martial arts event.
“We view ourselves on the eve of battle."

People say Rush and Other Wing Nut BlowHards are not a Problem....but should we be worried about this level of hatred and the lack of Compassion that feeds this kind of Movement ???

These people are seriously delusional. I don't mean this in a metaphorical sense. I mean it in a real life clinical sense. It doesn't take a psychiatrist to recognize nutsy behavior when a guy walks down the street talking to himself or yelling out on the corner that Jesus is going to be here on Thursday afternoon and we'd better get ready.

People like Norris and Limbaugh and Hannity and the rest of the screwballs are clearly mentally ill. For most people, this means (since Reagan closed down the mental institutions) wandering the streets and sleeping in Kelvinator boxes. For some, like Limbaugh and Hannity, it means raking in millions of dollars, a reflection of the general insanity that infects a large percentage of our population.

I think you can measure that percentage by the number of people who voted for John McCain in the last election. And that raises the questionL WHY is this country producing so much mental illness? It impacts our politics. It results in crazy policies like the shutdown of stem cell research, a useless drug war that costs billions each year and produces no results, a nuclear arsenal that has stockpiled at least 5400 warheads costing trillions of dollars, a health care system that doesn't work for millions of Americans and an insane dependence on foreign oil that could have been solved decades ago.

But our government is infested by crazy people. Really crazy people who believe in crazy policies.

Chuck Norris and Ann Coulter and the rest of the notorious media crazies are just the tip of the iceberg, They are supported by the mass insanity that consistently votes against its own interests.

The same thing happened to the Roman Empire. Some historians blame the lead pipes that delivered water to Roman citizens. I don't know what to blame for our right-wing nutjobs.

ahhhhh Newsguy...
there you go....setting me straight...yeah, Mental Illness....as delusional as Bush...you bet....and yeah, there is enough ignorance to support these idiots...and yeah the Fall of the Roman Empire....( which some scientists blame on Lead poisoning and alcoholism.....)

I thought the way the repugs were thumped in the Election would set a new tone- silly me.....

Hmmm, last time I checked, wasn't calling for the violent overthrow of the U.S. Government one of those "Things You Can't Say on T.V."? Along with suggesting that someone should you-know-what the you-know-who. Have Rush and company started calling for this generation's John Wilkes Booth to step forward yet? It's coming...

(I wonder if I can find a clip of the old SNL "Franken and Davis Show" sketch where Al Franken and Tom Davis come out and say "Folks, tonight we're going to go out on a limb and call for the violent overthrow of the United States government...")

Num Chuck Norris is an idiot.

If this went on under the Bush regime, his ass would be detained already.

Obama does not consider him a security threat, just an idiot.

I think Newsguy makes a pretty convincing argument, and I have to admit that I've thought along those lines myself. But I do think that calling these people delusional and mentally ill is probably giving them way too much credit.

I think they're just flat-out self-absorbed bastards whose philosophy of life can be summed up as I've-got-mine-and-fuck-you.

For many of them, religion also plays a part in their world view, and on that score, I'm more open to the mental-illness argument.

I don't know if they are crazy, delusional or what they are.. but they have surely gone around the bend, or off the deep end or something. Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, now Chuck Norris, most of the republicans it seems like. I have been talking about this kinda stuff too.. they are just nuts. Beck most especially has really gone overboard with his rants and calling for a militia and overthrowing of the government.
Now the NY Times is asking in an interview if the President is a Socialist.. geeze..
These people have all lost what little grip of reality they had left.

The Chuckster will really like federal prison, funny, after playing a constituiton - rights of suspects bet em first kinda guy for all these years he may JUST BE hoping the constitution applies to him as well...you know the whole thing against SELF INCRIMINATION...

Actually, it was misreported that he called for the overthrow of the government. He appeared on the Alex Jones Show on Friday and explained what he said and meant. All he suggested was that, if the federal government continued to expand and keep spending crazy amounts of money, people would rebel. He didn't refer to right-wing cells at all, his remarks were twisted.

Also, google video "The Obama Deception". :)

Adam:::
I think you did not read the article attached to the title- it has Norris QUOTES in it ( and no he was not mis-quoted- they are HIS words- he even quotes Sam Houston)....So his remarks were not "twisted"- he was actually quoted in numerous papers...

Here's the thing- People like Norris- a celebrity with a following need to be careful what they say- and appreciate their celebrity- it is why he campaigned heavily for Huckabee...even on CBN....

and in case you did not figure it out- this is a Obama Supportive Blog- we support Our President and Change- so no thanks to your deception thing...
