See Obama at his most Presidential....thoughtful, calm, and wise...Obama made a statement at 4:40 PM after McCain attempted to postpone the Debate and suspended his campaign at 2:25PM....Obama makes it clear that The People Need to hear from the Candidates....and then he took Questions from the Reporters.
Watch this Video and the President's Speech and the Palin Interview, and McCain's Suspension Speech....IT is Obvious WHO should be President...Down below I have written up the Palin Day and also do read the" McCoot Can Not Walk and Chew Gum" post- I liveblogged ALL the events yesterday....And do read the Dave Letterman Post as it is part of the days's events too...
2am NEWS on the situation NYT they present it in a rather delicate fashion. And more from the NYT raises more questions about the Motive.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) tells CNN the McCain campaign is proposing "that if there's no bailout deal by Friday, the first presidential debate should take the place of the VP debate, currently scheduled for next Thursday, October 2 in St. Louis."
Despite Obama's insistence that the debate go on, Graham also says McCain "will not go to the debate Friday if there's no deal on the bailout."
So there you have it.
The Old Coot is so worried about the underperforming McCandy that he's trying to kill the vice presidential debate.
McCain is not on the finance committee. They are trying to play this up as Americans are waiting to hear what John McCain thinks we should do-- Well yes Americans are waiting because McSlow has failed to make a statement or lay out steps to fix it.
He also knows he will be under scrutiny to try to defend his public statement that he "does not know much about the economy", and to defend himself with a 26 YEAR track record of embracing DEREGULATION.
He's scrambling to find a slick way to have all that make sense, all while Palin is a loose cannon, who has even less of a clue.
They are a party without a plan, that is hiding from the media & looking bad.
IF they do go before "the media" I would not be surprised if it is staged.
They handpick the media & give out pre approved questions.
Senator McCain- Is it harder to rescue the financial disaster or to have been a prisoner of war?
Guvnah Palin ~ What shade of lipstick would you put on the financial disaster to brighten it up?
I am not buying this *America is in suspense to see what McCain will say * business-- I am saying Obama spelled out his position in no uncertain terms months ago, and again when the alleged crisis came up. What's taking McCain so long?
Is he so out of it and confused, he can't even lay out a basic statement-- othen than to stop the campaign because he can't handle it?
He needs to be coached every step of the way?
Looks like McCain-Palin are shooting themselves in the foot. If you put McCain Palin & Bush together you have the hear nothing, see nothing, say nothing full line up,
HOly shit that's funny that McLame isn't even on the Finance Committee. WTF!! There goes his "excuse."
it is now thursday- and this afternoon he is due to arrive sometime in DC, it is almost 3:30PM I have not heard if he is there..
Dodd and Senate Leaders came out and said that the Bailout is almost worked out...BUT Boehner came out and said that the Repugs are not in agreement...
NOW almost any minute the meeting at the WH is supposed to be occuring- with Bush and McCain arriving any minute....
( so McCain suspended his campaign for WHAT???)
