ABOUT THOSE POLL NUMBERS THAT ALL OF US THOUGHT WERE SMELLING KINDA FISHY- WELL, GUESS WHAT ???WE WERE RIGHT!!!


Gryphen sent this over...and it really eased my mind, so maybe it will ease yours too...DO look at this Daily kos post and it will amaze you.....and have you nodding your head.....We are all pretty damn smart...yup....They been funking up the numbers....

Not only are the skewed toward republican women, but all the young voters I know do not have landlines. The have cellphones and are fairly selective about who gets their numbers. HA! Take that! pollsters.

You might want to take a look at this. It's an On the Media segment that frames partisan poll number-rigging in a historical context.

Rigging polling numbers is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it has the potential to entice undecideds to vote for the majority (basic Social Learning Theory--or "monkey see, monkey do"). On the other hand, it could galvanize a Democratic base that already has a sizeable lead.

But there's another possibility made possible through recent voter machine issues: inaccurate pol numbers could rationalize the kind of poll rigging that we saw in 2004.
