More on the Wachovia Mess, I have been following this because I am tracking what effects School loans...Apparently Citi is not happy with the latest plan of Wells Fargo....more to come.. On Other Fronts, some Early Maneuverings have begun on the Mortgage front, and some interesting Entities are entering the picture.
The Job's reports came out , more than 159,000 jobs lost in Sept and 9th month of losses in a row, and is another piece of this Domino Effect that is in play. National Debt continues to grow, and hits a new level. This was not really made very public....

WASHINGTON -- "Congress has passed complex and highly criticized legislation authorizing $700 billion in government money to shore up the nation's stressed financial industry. The 263-171 vote by the House sends the Senate-passed version to the White House for President Bush's signature.Among many features, the measure would allow the Treasury Department to buy up bad debt from various lending institutions.Many members of the House voted for the bill even though some said it was not very attractive to them and to their constituents back home. The measure had been defeated in the same chamber on Monday, sending stocks on Wall Street into a record slide.Announcement of the vote was greeted by applause."

This line is from Grapes of Wrath has been stuck in my head all week.....Gee, I can not imagine why. Time will tell what happens next, in our economy or the world's ...We can only go on and hope that it is enough of a wake up call that there is Trouble...and that People need to work together to look for Solutions. Is the "Economic Recovery Plan" going to help Middle America, homeowners, renters, small business owners, retired folks, families ? Is it too little too late...or is it the Bandaid that was needed? Time will tell....
We saw the Debate last night of Palin versus Biden, and we learned alot about Palin and what kind of leader she isn't. She has the depth of a Camp Fire girl chanting Lyrics and Limericks for extra credit for her Congeniality Badge.She did it with a cute smile and a wink, but no sincerity. We learned that she preaches Folkisms but lacks wisdom of any kind, even the ability to recognize intellect. She regurgitated Bushisms and Cheney Fearmongering with great precision.There is more below, the Debate was liveblogged by 20 on two different threads, enjoy, and then there is a final Post Mortem.
