So yeah this 1930's photo does remind me of 6-6 when he was about 2....he would follow the ducks and geese and ANY birds around...trying to get their attention, offering his old sandwich or cheerios...and they paid him no mind..but if just one would acknowledge him " be his friend" it was a golden moment....He liked that they traveled in pairs as a "family"....He was just honored to be near their cooing and waddling...Sigh.

At this point I feel like we are holding our collective breath....waiting to see what happens next. She did die quietly with her minister, her son Mervyn and her friends by her side. She served this Community for over 28 years. Her organs were donated per her request. Rest In Peace dear woman.....

And yes, there is some Soulfood and yes, two posts about the Saddleback Event,including a Post about Compassion, and yes some music, and some humor...Ingrid and Gryphen are still doing an amazing job covering the Georgia Mess.....

You know I look at the children staring at the Statue of Liberty and I think that they came to this country to be free and to enjoy some Peace and to feel included and embraced....not shunned as " Aliens" or perhaps labeled or put on lists because of their names or their religion or their background....Many left Oppressive Countries that did such things...What have WE become as a Country....And how do we get back onto a more Reasoned Path ? And how dangerous is it when someone like McMaverick calls people like us that Blog and Think " Liberal Extremists"....Think about that....As Bloggers we need to keep Asking The Hard Questions.... WE are are ALL we have got.....And it matters now , more than ever.

Please note one of the things that he has been negotiating with attorneys is full immunity from all legal charges.....He is the first leader in Pakistan's history to resign or face Impeachment.LA Times article linked to Title, more to be posted.

"But the junior party in the coalition, led by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was determined to drive Musharraf from public office. Sharif was overthrown by Musharraf in a 1999 coup, jailed and then sent into exile.

For the last several days, indirect talks had been underway between Musharraf's camp and the ruling coalition aimed at securing an agreement from the president to resign. Close associates indicated that Musharraf's main demand was full legal immunity from any acts stemming from his time in office.

Charges against Musharraf were said to include accusations of constitutional violations stemming from his declaration late last year of emergency rule, which is similar to martial law.

The Pakistani leader, who was still military chief at the time, suspended the constitution, fired dozens of senior judges, including popular Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, and threw thousands of opponents into jail."
