Great video for a Sunday with war, killing, and violence in the world on the rise. It's really not too hard to imagine such a world that John Lennon thought of every time I see pictures from space. Where are the borders? Where are the Crescents, Crosses, and Stars? Thanks for the video.

Just think if John were alive...the things he would be saying...and the marches that he would organize...he would rattle Georgie's cage everyday.

GLENDA, PROF, AND SUMO:
So good to see you and yes, John would have been reeming George a new one daily...miss him.( Did try to find video of him...will keep looking).Yoko Ono gave Peter Gabriel permission to sing Imagine at the Olympics...What are we gonna do Folks...What can we do ?

Peter Gabriel did an amazing rendition of Lennon's song. It was written to make us all think. Well - we've thought; and nothing seems to have come of it. It often seems to me as if we are all alone out here – yet there are thousand of us - millions even; but all we seem able to do is talk to each other - and we all mostly agree! Why can't we stop this? Why can't we topple the walls that surround the hate-mongers? Why is war still allowed?

No one is listening to reason. No one seems to care. I'm not sure anyone would listen to him now if he were here. Thank goodness he gave us some wonderful songs that we can keep in our hearts and in the air.

Graeme: I agree....thanks for coming by.

POP: I think people would listen to John...It amazes me how many young people listen to him, the Beatles, and also Marley...( including my 15yr old son). My apt building is 60% college students- and I hear alot of their music.I am more worried that the MEdia is not educating people about WHAT is really going on- like the video below- that should have been on the News- and it is all over the internet, but that is not good enough. Pray that People get educated, pray more people want a Ceasefire....Pray that Bush's own people turn on him like a pack of Rabid Dogs...

It is monday July 24th, and the Blogger is having problems, so I am leaving this comment here.

Are others having Blogger woes or is it just some of us???

enigma, I only know I had a hell of time getting watergatesummer to even load today. when it finally came up, everything looked normal except a big blank space where your link to lebanese mass graves video is. so i walked away from the screen for a few minutes & when I came back, that had loaded, but wouldn't take any comments. kinda makes you wonder, doesn't it? D.K.

DK: well well...that is a bit odd now isn't it...and yet not a surpise...I also know that if I google Watergate Summer ( which I had to do when it was not loading right) it came up and in 24 hours had gone from 77,000 viewers down to 71,000 ( which is funny anyway considering it had been up tp 87,000 a few monthes back..)I don't care about the numbers- other than I don't like the idea of blogs being messed with- muddled with etc. I think also the blogger traffic has been really heavy the past 2 weeks ( cause media is lax) and also because Heat on the West Coast might be part of the Sluggish woes....we'll see.

Hang in there, folks -- don't forget the fucks in charge are in love with peddling the Fear (and in my humble opinion, blogspot needs no interference from the NSA to get a case of the hiccups, as it were). Not to mention with rolling brownouts and blackouts of power in the midwest and south, there are going to be some servers challenged.

You know, I remember back in the day, more than once that old hack Stephen King opining that evil is powerful, but can only destroy. And only Good can create and build. Half-baked hippie philosophy, I know, but it is rather inconveniently true.

Like that other old hippie I always loved, Lennon was true to one theme -- only peace and love will save the world. Bono's picked up the banner on the love angle, and does much good for forgotton peoples, no matter how much he irritates me! ;)

I wish someone would pick up the other banner, because god knows all we are saying is give peace a chance.

Man, I am in serious need of an old-fashioned joint...

...and a washtub full of ice and water to park my butt in! Eighty-two at nine at night? I thought I left Texas!

Then again, could be worse...at least I ain't in Baghdad.

While Gabriel's version is inspiring and artistically beautiful, Ned Lamont's is an incredible blast of hope to be coming from a guy running for the US Senate. Check this out. I think you'll be amazed and - pardon the repetition - very hopeful of our future.

Now for more perusin' o' yer posts, E4E. Quite a nice place you've got here.

Enigma,

It's remiss of me not to have realised sooner that you were 'back in business'. I won't make any excuses for being AWOL, other than plead a very, very busy life both on and offline.

But better late than never. I see you've not lost any of your fire - nor of your great big heart & soul.
And I thank you [and salute you]for your important role in getting the truth out.

As for blogger - it HAS been going berserk lately. Additionally, there's something not quite right at Technorati. In just over one month, they say I've plumetted in the rankings from 69,000 odd - to 115,000 - yet my traffic is increasing not falling. Strange, eh?

One other thing I feel I must speak out about is this - since, as you well know, I will NOT be silenced - on any score.

Since I began my critical Israel/Lebanon 'campaign' - I have been removed from FIVE other bloggers' permanent blogrolls. They were all considered liberals - indeed they must have been - or they'd never have blogrolled me in the first place.

Yet, since I've begun exposing Israel's current 'sins', political leanings seem to have taken second [or even much lower] place.

The only thing about this flabergasting phenomema, that I can say for certain -- is that NONE of the bloggers in question were neither Muslims nor Lebanese.

This shocked, surprised and sickened me. But just like you - I shall not be moved. Never. Ever. Not ever.

Peace and sincere best best wishes to you and yours -- we SHALL overcome.

Enigma,

MacCarthyism? The burning of the books?

In just the las t several minutes since I last posted [check the post-times] Technorati has again downgraded mt ranking to 137,000. What does that say to you? It says only ONE thing to me.

Pardon my French - but fuck 'em. I will NOT be silenced. So, I say again - fuck 'em.

Richard:
Good to see you and yes I have been sending people to your blog as well- because you speak the Truth and are trying to get the Word out and even let people talk and vent about this Fucking Mess. Scary Times. McCarthyism indeed, Censorship is alive and well, but we won't let it deter the Truth getting Told and spread.

and Yeah, Fuck'em. Be Sure to go over to Rory Shock's Blog as well...
and the Lebanese Bloggers BLog as well..

I salute you ...

Warble it my friend! Warble it loud and clear! Love yuor song collection... Ending in great fashion with Gabriel... The ending scene in Breakfast at Tiffanys is a classic...

My favorite movie is French... directed by Gaspar Noe and titled "I Stand Alone". A very disturbing film. A film that to me may be one of the greatest movies of all time. Noe has an incredible eye for disturbance... he puts you seemingly in the film as an object and you get mauled and pawed and kicked through the movie with those moments for breathing that are found in all great films.

Anyway... "I Stand Alone"...So tell me something I didn't already know! :>/

Ahhh POETRYMAN....
good of you to come by....
I am understand that I am being a lazy Bloggeress (hmm, that has a sort of interesting sound), but mostly glad that you enjoyed the selection...and yeah, there was a little choreography afoot in how I laid the videoclips together...I would like to see the Stand Alone Film I am intriqued...Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic- and yet what I love about it is that Nothing is What it seems- and in the final scene- when she runs down the street and he turns and looks at her- REALLY looks at her....That Look says more than anything....( I guess if you haven't seen the whole movie it probally makes no sense) I once saw Hepburn in an interview and she talked about how she cried because she threw the cat out of the car, and she also laughed about them trying to film the Kiss at the end- and I guess the cat was NOT happy At ALL....ooops...

so here it is August 12th, 2006 and this post now comes up this am as number 2 for WS- and at 46,000, yet two weeks ago when I posted it it was googling in at 77,000- hmmm I think something fishy is going on with Google- which doesn't matter to me- other than google is altering the hit counters? why would they do that...doesn't make much sense....I mean I just have a humble little blog.....
