30 years ago tonight the King left us....What is your favorite song? I will put it with the Title.
I have a favorite- but tonight is yours, name your song.
So I posted my favorite...and none of you named it.....And I found video of Elvis, looking so young, and charming, and sexy and sweet. ( And very funny too). Click the Title.

There are so many but it has to be "I Can't Help Falling In Love" followed closely by "Fools Rush In".
"I Can't Help Falling In Love" and "Fools Rush In" are my favorites and they both signify his classic voice.
"Return to Sender" is one of my favorites. It's one of the first Elvis songs I expressly remember committing to memory to sing at a future date. "I'll Be Home For Christmas" tears me up every time I hear it.
Well, these are ALL good...and yes, I'll be home for Christmas just about kills me,....okay truth be told...any Christmas song by Elvis and I need a mega box of Kleenex...
I forgot Blue Christmas!
I am a "Hound Dog" fan. but Husband just reminded me that "Jailhouse Rock" rocked. 30-yrs! How is that possible? ~~ D.K.
I know how is that possible...wow...I will add the FAV tomorrow...to the LINK...so sad..yet atleast we have all of this wonderful music.....

a love song that transcends one man...
Okay so I posted my favorite it is now on linked to the Title...
OMG E....you nailed it! I was a 13 year old kid when my sister and bro-in-law went out for the night and hired Judy Baker, a 16 year old to baby sit my sister's 2 year old daughter. I would sing this song just dreaming about "my" babysitter, Judy.
To this day when this song pops up, I drop whatever I'm doing and sing this song to a 16 year old babysitter named Judy, who is now probably a great, great grandmother.
Thank you. ("Don't" was also great.)
ahhh Dada...I can just picture that....and you had a little thing for "the babysitter".....
Oh man, I love listening to the king, but especially the early Sun Records stuff. As for RCA hits, I like "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You", "Don't Be Cruel", and "If I Can Dream". I once wrote a song where I imagined Elvis was still alive and wanting to drive in the Indianapolis 500 - click the title to hear Drive Me Tender.
Wow, after I posted, I clicked over to You Tube to see your favorite - Hey, great minds think alike!
Oh I love the Drive Me Tender....awesome...
I love "One Night With You," which I think was the B side to "Teddy Bear." He really ripped that one up!
