*Fragile Conditions*
It has been an odd August already. Seething Blistering Heat spread across the Country. The Minnesota Bridge Disaster shedding light and questions about Our Fragile Infrastructure. We are right to ask questions and want to know more. And now the Mine Disaster in Utah. The feeble King has snuck off for his "Vacation" without any Comfort to be offered to the Masses.
* Stormy Heat Relief*
So during this Heat this Month, I kept hoping and praying for some relief, some Big Rains. Here in Ohio and the Midwest we had Huge Storms and some Tornados this week, last night I got to see Huge Funnel Clouds ( that was not comforting). I stood in line at CVS and looked out the window at them, the three girls working there wanted to know what to do.We talked basements. I thought about my flooded basement that I had spent two days sweeping out, thinking that I had no desire to go down THERE....but I bought snacks and flashlights anyways. And I bought More Chocolate.I have decided it is more important to be prepared than to fret about damp conditions..... And It did indeed cool things a bit.
You all take care out there....stay cool. Share Your Lemonade and be good to Your Neighbors.

You stay enigma and stay away from funnel clouds.
I don't want too come here and find out that your no longer in Ohio and instead are now in Oz.
God Bless.
Ooops...
Should read you stay safe enigma and stay away from funnel clouds.
Me Bad...LOL...LOL...LOL...
God Bless.
oohhh ANON P...Don't worry I will always be here...and I did even try to blog through the storm last night....I have Ruby Slippers and there are plenty of Dorothy Doors on this street....All was fine- just really hard winds....I have lived through a floods, tornado, hurricanes, quakes, and many blizzards and west coast storms....yup..kinda like your own Invincible Molly Brown of Blogland... me and 6-6 are very tough...we are survivors....
( but I think I will be careful about asking the Rain Gods for Rains again......ooooops)
This has been a strange year for the weather and the upcoming winter may very well be worse than we've seen for some time.
The climate is changing, and no I'm not nuts for thinking so.
you are not nuts Larry....you are just observant....and yup...science says that the earth is indeed suffering...badly...
Hi enigma4ever, glad to know you made it out of the storms the other night. I wish we could get a little rain in the Georgia, it was 103 yesterday and I went outside as little as possible.
I hope the really bad part of the season this year does not get as bad as they are predicting.
Great choice of music!
One of my all time favorites.
Thanks for the beautiful distraction. I listened to it twice!
I've lived in the Midwest and I feel for ya, Babe.
A friend in NC writes that the heavy, still, uber-unheathful air is the color of milk.
My part of NM has been hot but very pleasant. With low humidity, shade is all that's needed to be comfortable. My house is adobe construction and it needs very little help to keep the indoors cool. I hope this winter isn't like the last! At Christmastime, I was up on the roof shoveling snow&ice&snow&ice and fell and broke my sternum.
This year we'll all sail blissfully through winter after Gore has announced his candidacy...right?
Very much enjoyed the art and music E4E.
Mirth: Lordy....let's hope next winter is kinder to you...I love NM...beautiful there...and if you have Adobe you are in good shape, it is wonderful...and yes, the air is unbelievable this summer...so thick at night you can see it...and yes, if Gore were to run....I would be in heaven Whereever I am...( geez that would be something....)
Gryphen : I am so glad you like it...yup, every Friday since I have been back I have been committed to Give A Gift...Something...so you listen as much as you like;-)
And we need distractions badly ....right?
Let's talk: yup...made it through...it all comes down to batteries and cookies...and candles...
but it has been avery odd summer that is for sure...I am so sorry about all that heat...maybe I should mail a jar of Lake Erie Gullywasher rain to you....
