KEITH OLBERMANN'S SPECIAL COMMENT#5( 9.25.06)

"To sin by Silence when they should Protest makes Cowards out of Men."
Abraham Lincoln

If you didn't see Keith on Countdown tonight- then run to Crooks&Liars right now and see the Video from his Special Comment. ( And yes, it was Number Five in the Great Momentum that is happening on Countdown.)
He is Brave , Eloquent, and he is telling the Truth. And his Special Comment Once Again Said what so badly needed to be Said.( Wednesday- I am going to Post ALL Five Special Comments Back-to-back).

It will make you cry , stamp your feet, weep and then send it to your Elected Officials and then write to MSNBC, and tell them in no Uncertain Terms we NEED the Media , ANY AND ALL MEDIA to wake the fuck up. We Need Our Country Back. Keith is telling the TRUTH loud and clear. What Fox News did to President Clinton this weekend was appalling, disgraceful and inexcusable, and unjustified. Someone needs to find out WHERE their money comes from- and WHO is paying them their Propaganda Fees. Do they have contracts with the US Chamber of Commerce? Someone needs to research that. We have a Regime that is torturing and killing people illegally.Mr.Bush and his cronies are more than dangerous. When was the last time a "Leader" tried to Change the Geneva Conventions ??? When ? And now this "President" tries to Blame ALL of his Failures on a Previous President. We ALL should be talking about this, and yelling at the Media, and our elected reps and saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. And yeah, we should be shouting IMPEACH AND IMPRISON.

And yeah, Write to MSNBC, and sing praise and love for Keith, he is Courage in Motion.

I'll look forward to your Olbermann round-up...and wasn't it just the weekend for TV! I wish I had cable, but I just shared the Clinton transcript with a friend and Texas, and I think not only did Bubba hold his own, he swung back with some absolutely justified anger. And landed some of the points the very assholes at Fox have been lying about all along.

Then there was Condi on 60 Minutes, ably aided by Katie (Perky) Couric claiming to have "felt the earth move" when the church was bombed two miles from the Rice household in Birmingham. The only thing more disgusting in that piece than using the deaths, and memories, of four innocent little children to burnish the hull of Tanker Condoleeza's tattered reputation is the idea that Ms. Rice actually sympathizes with the loss of innocent life in the Mideast. Honey, actions speak louder than words...like shoe shopping while people drown; but I can offer the Secretary's own words to convict her. Like "birthpangs of a new Mideast". From a (to use the antiquated term) spinster. I'm using odd language refering to Ms. Thing because I think she's probably the last person on earth who has any concept of what maternal labor is like.

We also were treated to an interview with Pakistan's president Pervez Musharraf, and his revelation of Pakistan being threatened with being "bombed back to the Stone Age" while the World Trade Center still smoldered. And who delivered this threat? Why, none other than old Dick Armitage. You may remember him and his aw-shucks manner as he fell on his sword recently and claimed he outed Valerie Plame by accident becuse he loves to gossip.

Hel-LO! Does the image of a yacking old hen in pants (who of course, never meant to compromise national security, heaven forbid!) jibe with a feller who will call someone up and bald-ass threaten another nation?

Or does it just serve to underline the fact that our nation is being run by a gang of cold-blooded thugs so arrogant they seldom try very hard to conceal how profoundly out of touch with reality they are?

Thank god for Keith, and for Bubba. It's high time the good guys got pissed off and started telling America exactly where the ursine mammal evacuated its bowels in the buckwheat.

(tipping me hat to the nice lady with the coffee; thanks for looking the other way when I sneak a knock of Bailey's in mine! Cheers, love)

Good post as always. Both the written and video versions are linked on crawfordslist as well. I wrote KO and asked if he wouldn't mind sending his backbone and cojones to the Democrats since they don't seem to have any of their own.

It is hard to believe that this is the same Olbermann who hosted the Fox Saturday Baseball pre- and post-game shows just a few years back. He has definitely found his calling.

When Keith called Bush a coward, I gasped. That is probably the hardest hit for Dubya who likes to portray himself as a tough guy. Bush is a bully and a coward - the two usually go together.

you know what's so nice about Keith's "special" comments? I feel the FEAR lessen the minute he begins. Not the fear of terrorists. That's just more yak-yak-blah-blah. No, it's the fear that we are losing all that's precious & no one is willing to stand up & say so on national tv. By the time Keith's finished, I'm no longer slouched over, but sitting up straight & tall. I can actually breathe again, ready to take on all poseurs. I sure hope he reads his emails. Thanks for this Keith roundup, Enigma! ~~ D.K.

Hooray enigma!

And hooray Olberman as usual!

Fox News pulled such a remarkably stupid act with President Clinton...However I feel Clinton handled himself VERY well.

There's no such thing as "Too much Keith".

You are absolutely right -- everyone who hears Mr. Olbermann speak the truth needs to email their support to MSNBC. I haven't done so yet, but I will now. He is a worthy heir to Edward R. Murrow in these dark times.

if i wasn't married- whoo baby! keith is my hero(as long as he doesn't wear those pinstripes!)

enigma4ever said...

hmmmm.....pinstripes and all he has won my heart.....in these Dark times we did and do indeed need a Ed Murrow.

Do-It-Yourself Impeachment Due this Thursday!!! (Oct 12)

The day the nation demands impeachment is almost upon us. This coming Thursday (Oct 12), sacks and sacks of mail will arrive in congress demanding impeachment via the House of Representative's own rules. This legal document is as binding as if a State or if the House itself passed the impeachment resolution (H.R. 635).

There's a little known and rarely used clause of the "Jefferson Manual" in the rules for the House of Representatives which sets forth the various ways in which a president can be impeached. Only the House Judiciary Committee puts together the Articles of Impeachment, but before that happens, someone has to initiate the process.

That's where we come in. In addition to the State-by-State method, one of the ways to get impeachment going is for individual citizens like you and me to submit a memorial. ImpeachforPeace.org, part of the movement to impeach the president, has created a new memorial based on one which was successful in impeaching a federal official in the past. You can find it on their website as a PDF.

STOP WAITING FOR YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO ACT FOR YOU.

You can initiate the impeachment process yourself by downloading the memorial, filling in the relevant information in the blanks (your name, state, etc.), and sending it in. Be a part of history.

http://ImpeachForPeace.org/ImpeachNow.html

More information on the precedent for submitting an impeachment
memorial, and the House Rules on this procedure, can also be found at
the above address.

If you have any doubts that Bush has committed crimes warranting
impeachment, read this page: http://ImpeachForPeace.org/evidence/

If you're concerned that impeachment might not be the best strategy
at this point, read the bottom of this page: http://ImpeachForPeace.org
