Friday Night Post.....gardening to music...quiet night here at the Enigma Cafe...

I want Spring....and I want it Now....I have no patience...I admit it...so to give a dose of spring I am posting a photo from my messy yard from last summer. I am going to sit here tonight.....work on Silent Fallout...and watch CSI :Miami....listen to some music on Youtube...and look out the window at my grey dingy leaf strangled yard and dream about Spring...and hope little Garden Gnomes come work on it....there is plenty down below....more serious stuff...but first a little music, dance with someone..yeah slow dance...and maybe make brownies and chicken for the kitties and the dog....have a good night....

I keep playing over and over that Susan Boyle YouTube song from Les Misérables . It just mesmerizes and is so empowering. Hope you are well. We are in the trauma of moving to CA, so don't visit as often, but think of you ....peace

Spring will come. It always does. Just may be a little later this year. Hope that means a longer summer & fall.

Wow, love those "guerilla gardeners"! must be nice to be able to plant something and not have to run sprinkler lines. rainy U.K.!

I want spring too. And what we will get is a week of Spring and three months of broiling summer. This year seems to want to miss the lovely warm soft spring with cool nights.

I'm here to let you know I'm giving you an award. I'll post the piece tomorrow afternoon.

Well, if it makes you feel better, we have spring here-- Our pollen counts are 900 times what is average--- I sneeze like crazy, eyes water & I go through kleenex like crazy. The lawn has had to be mowed a bunch of times, if you can get to it in between the rainfall.

Just sayin' it's not all daffodils & fun!

I sent that Guerilla gardeners vid to some locals here--- they love the idea & want to start a local chapter.
Love the whole covert action element of it.

Drive by plantings!

Just need a greenhouse or master gardeners to help contribute plants & flowers.

I was trying to look up the local pollen counts here & found this:

Eugene has the highest grass pollen count in the world because of the shape of the Willamette Valley and Eugene's close proximity to grass seed growers in Linn County, said local allergy expert Dr. Kraig Jacobson.

April and May kick off the grass allergy season that can last until early July, he said.

Jacobson said his clinic at Oak Street Medical has recorded pollen counts for the Aeroallergen Network of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for more than 20 years. Cities around the country rarely see more than 100 particles per cubic meter, which is a high pollen count, Jacobson said. Eugene had a pollen count of 1,531 particles per cubic meter!

The title of the article??
Ah Choo!
