I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
As they turn your dream to shame.

And still
I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather...

I had a dream my life would be
So different form this hell I'm living
so different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed.

I heard her mentioned on the local news last night so hubby and I went to uTube to check her out....she's another one like the plummer and the little 6 year old who stole their hearts with "some where over the rainbow" This lady has an amazing gift and I am glad she was given the opportunity to share it with us all....I hope she continues in the competition.

That's what shows like that are truly about...finding true raw talent....not like the American Idol that is on right now....urgh..don't get me going on that and "Adam"

The thing about this woman's video that I found most interesting was the reactions of the audience and judges.

When she first walked out on stage, there was much snickering, pointing, giggling and eye-rolling.

Simon asked her what her ambition was, and she said to be a singer - and he gave a classic Jon Stewart smirk.

Anybody here remember ever hearing Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) sing?

It seems that it takes this kind of thing every generation or so to remind the shallow, looks-obsessed asshats in the world that physical "beauty" is not the best measure of a human being's worth.

I hope she gets to experience her dream. She has a lovely voice.

yeah......Gomer Pyle- oh my he too- an amazing voice....about Susan- turns out all she wants is a job, and Love ( on interviews that is what she said)...it is stunning that she has never been found....but maybe in a scottish village that is possible....

RN:::
oh yeah..Idol I can not stand at this point....and Adam I think is a joke- he is like karioke with eye liner and a whole bunch of swagger....this woman truly has a real gift....

I'm "knockered" too.
Ironic- she is unemployed & keeping her fingers crossed.
Methinks her life is about to change, dramatically.

I think both will find her now..
